We are trained in:

  • Attachment Theory - How one’s closest relationships impact our view of self, others & how we relate to the world.

  • Intersubjectivity - Exploring the meaning & impact behind one’s experiences, and discovering new ways of making sense of the world.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy - Recognizing your emotions, how you react to other’s emotions, and learning new ways of responding to emotional cues.

  • Neurobiology of Relationships - How the brain is hard-wired for relationships.

  • Spirituality & Transcendence - Exploring every human’s need for meaning & identity that go beyond the limitations of time & space.

We have both personally undergone years of professional counseling, and have also picked up other tools along the way—see our Tools page.

Here’s to your wholeness, to whole-life wellness in every area of your life. Healing from brokenness is indeed possible, if you will seek it out!

FAQs

Counseling room / office
Meeting outdoors for counseling
  • Fifty-minute sessions are $50. If that amount is not achievable or sustainable for you, please contact us to discuss other options.

  • We accept Venmo (@jordanheater), Paypal, Zelle, cash, and are open to discussing other methods.

  • We have two private office spaces available for use, but we are also willing to meet you where you are most comfortable: a park, your home, etc.

  • No. We are currently being trained by a professional counselor and are working towards certification as pastoral counselors. As part of that training program, we are under group supervision, which means that we have access to several experienced counselors of whom we can ask questions, troubleshoot, etc.

  • We have personal experience with trauma, neglect, grief, addiction and many other relational challenges. However, we cannot legally diagnose nor treat any mental illness. Our approach is to connect with your heart, ask questions to draw out your experience, seek to understand your deepest needs, and be a safe space for you to learn to relate to others.

If it becomes apparent that we will not be able to significantly help you, we will refer you to the appropriate professional.
