Coaching by Jordan Heater

I am trained, certified and supervised by Dr. David Manock & the Integrative Counseling Institute of Salem, OR. Here are some key aspects of my training:

  • Attachment Theory - How one’s closest relationships impact our view of self, others & how we relate to the world.

  • Intersubjectivity - Exploring the meaning & impact behind one’s experiences, and discovering new ways of making sense of the world.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy - Recognizing your emotions, how you react to other’s emotions, and learning new ways of responding to emotional cues.

  • Neurobiology of Relationships - How the brain is hard-wired for relationships.

  • Spirituality & Transcendence - Exploring every human’s need for meaning & identity that go beyond the limitations of time & space.

I have personally undergone professional counseling, and have also picked up other tools along the way—see our Tools page.

Here’s to your wholeness, to whole-life wellness in every area of your life. Healing from brokenness is indeed possible, if you will seek it out!

  • No. I am an affiliate of the Integrative Counseling Institute (ICI) of Salem, OR, which means that they have trained and certified me in their counseling methodology (the Manock Integrative Method). I also am being supervised by ICI, which means that I have access to several experienced counselors of whom I can ask questions, troubleshoot, etc.

I also have a Life Coach certificate from the International Association of Professions (IAP). I have done several coaching & inner healing workshops over the years, using material from Keith Webb, Jamie & Donna Winship, and others.

  • I have personal experience with trauma, neglect, grief, addiction and many other relational challenges. I have helped clients who are struggling with alcohol, drug addiction, sexual addiction, grief, broken relationships, etc.

However, I cannot legally diagnose nor treat any mental illness. My approach is to connect with your heart, ask questions to draw out your experience, seek to understand your deepest needs, and be a safe space for you to learn to relate to others.

If it becomes apparent that I will not be able to significantly help you, I will refer you to the appropriate professional.
